Professional Dog Nail Grinder by PluffyDog. Painless Nail Clippers for Dogs

After my neighbor recommended this nail grinder I decided to get one for my new pup. I love it! It is so easy, quick & painless for your pet. We massaged her paws frequently to get her use to us handling them & started off doing a little each week. I even started using it on our 9 yr old Chihuahua. He tolerates it so much better than the clippers. Our vet was even impressed when I brought it in & she used it in the office. Happy pups... happy mom😊

I tried using nail clippers frequently when my dog was a puppy to get him used to them, per everyone’s recommendations. He tolerated them for a while. But then one day, he decided he didn’t want clippers near him. So I figured I’d try this nail grinder…because I was not about to become one of those dog owners that has to bring their dog to the vet or groomer every time he needed his nails trimmed. I searched so many nail grinders and couldn’t really find many with videos so that I could hear how loud the product is. So I figured I’d share a little video to help others. It’s not exactly super quiet but it’s not obnoxiously loud either. It has two settings and one setting is slightly louder than the other. I’m using the faster setting in this video. It’s pretty easy to use. It does leave the nail a little blunt and sharp but not much different from nail clippers. We didn’t need to do much to get him used to the nail grinder at all. We just let him check it out while it was on. He used to like to hold the cap in his mouth while I would do his nails but now he doesn’t seem to care. Grinding his dewclaws can be tricky because of all of his fur, so it’s important to make sure all of the fur it out of the way. I would absolutely purchase this product again!

I have a German Shepherd that hates his nails trimmed, this grinder does still bother him a bit but I think with more use he will get use to it. It grinds down very well and evenly.

I used it for the first time and was surprised at how easy it was! My dog Lucky hates getting his nails cut and always runs away which is extremely frustrating. But this time, I just distracted him with some treats and he sat there while I trimmed away! Absolutely love this nail trimmer, it was worth every penny, highly recommend for dog parents! ❤️❤️

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt this one warranted one! I have a 6 year old mini dachshund and trimming nails has always been rough!! Screaming and biting (from the dog). I’ve tried other nail grinders and she was terrified of them. I came across this one and thought I’d give it a try. It took only 5 minutes to do ALL FOUR paws! She held perfectly still and didn’t fight me a single bit!! She even wagged her tail when we were done!! Hallelujah I think we found the tool for us!!!

We used to use a dremel and this product is much easier to use. 1st off it’s cordless which is very convenient and the wheel grinds better than the sandpaper lined dremel tips. The durability seems great and is very easy to hold and maneuver. I would highly recommend this for smoothing down your dog’s nails.

Our dogs are no longer afraid of getting him and her nails done. This is quiet so he isn’t spazzing out. We started with Pluffy basic trimmer and then upgraded to this pro version. Much better than other option on the market!

First, the customer service was amazing. I had a question about my order and they answered almost immediately and helped me out a lot. Then when I received my trimmer, it worked like a charm for my dog, this has been such a helpful tool! This nail grinder delivers on everything it promised. So much less stressful then using the pet clippers. I accidentally cut into the quick once and although he didn’t seem to notice, it caused lots of ancestry for me ever since. Using the grinder is perfect and my puppy doesn’t mind at all. He sits there and allows me to do it. I would recommend this to anyone who lates trimming their dogs' nails. It smoothies the nails out too so no accidental scratching after a trim! Best invention ever!

I have two boxers that had thick overgrown nails. I chose this over a Dremmel based on the price and diamond tip bit. This is extremely quiet. I was actually surprised at how much nail it took off considering how quiet it was. I was able to get a more finished look compared to scissor-style clippers and I was also able to get much closer to the quick. I made it through both of my dogs on single charge and it still has battery life. I definitely recommend this to any dog owner and would buy again.

Well, I have tried just about every dog nail trimmer that is out there. I hadn’t planned on writing a review for this one but the minute it arrived I got it out of the box to see if the other positive reviews had told the truth about it and NO LIE — within five minutes I had finished ALL 10 of my Pomeranians nails down to the quick (& I’m ashamed to say, her nails were really long- to the point of starting to turn sideways- at the LEAST- 1/4-1/2 inch long)
I have two Pomeranians that are very fearful of anything to do with their nails. I’m able to stay calm while I do it, but it upsets both of them and is a chore often put off because of that reason. I can’t tell you how shocked I am by how QUIETLY & quickly this machine takes down their nails. It completely annihilates them!!! Usually, the sandpaper drum that is on the other dog nail sanders that I own heat up to the uncomfortable point that it burns their “quick”, and they tell me when it hurts because they are scrambling to get out of my arms when it happens. With this little machine, I was down to the quick and literally IN to the quick and she STILL didn’t move! I felt the nail immediately and it wasn’t even hot like the sandpaper drum gets!! I was done with her nails and I kid you not that dog looked at me like I was tricking her when I told her she was all done! LOL THIS TOOL IS AMAZING! It really REALLY is. you won't regret this purchase if you get one.

My husband bought this for his service dog. He wanted something affordable, easy to use, and pretty much idiot proof. He said what he got is amazing. I've been a groomer almost 15 years and I'm pleasantly shocked by this product. The quality for the price point is pretty incredible. I haven't used it long term to see how the battery holds up with everyday use yet but will update in time. In comparison, I've always used dremmel brand which are heavy, loud, expensive, and frequently cease to work after 6 months use. This product is light weight, easy to maneuver, and the tip is HIGH quality. The fact that it's not sand paper means the life is much much longer. It didn't need all the heavy duty power of a regular dremmel because the tip files with ease. It's very quiet in comparison to other dremmels I've used and even my nervous dog didn't mind it. (He usually whines when I do his nails.) I can't wait to try this on my everyday clientele. Even if the battery doesn't hold up over time it's still a lot cheaper to replace than a dremmel brand product!

This product arrived very quickly (because it shipped from the US). And it is exactly as the description explains it. It is very quiet, and the charge seems to last for a long time. It doesn't seem to grind down as quickly as I assumed it would, but that's probably what makes it quiet and painless for the dogs. You just have to cut their nails to an appropriate length first, and then use the grinder to file them so they don't break, and to maintain that good length.

Our 11 year-old border collie mix has never been a fan of having her nails clipped. My husband was the only person who could come near her with a clipper, and even then, our dog got very anxious. I was not entirely optimistic that this nail grinder would be any easier to use. I did as suggested, and acclimated our dog to the grinder for a couple of weeks by letting her see it, smell it, feel it (while it was turned off), and gave her treats for every instance. When we tried actually using it on her for the first time, she didn't react at all. Except to jump up and run over to the cabinet where her treats are kept when we finished with her nails. The grinder does make a noise, of course, but it's not loud or scary to my dog who is afraid of everything. It's easy to use and does a good job. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

I have always taken my dogs to the vet for nail trims. BUT, after losing one of our dogs we ended up with another puppy. And he is a handful. We got the three strikes and we were out (sort of) we took him in to get his nails trimmed, and on all three occasions he decided to not cooperate. After the third time we were told in order to trim his nails he would require sedation which would cost $80 and then the $15 nail trim on top. Well the only reason I would take our dogs to the vet for their nails to be cut was convenience, but I was not going to be an extra $80 for him to just get his nails cut. I love my vet but I just was not going to pay almost $100 for a damn nail trim. So. I looked up what I could do myself at home to make my life a little easier and not be clawed to death by this 80lb puppy. I was a little hesitant at first because it was a nail grinder and I was worried how he would react. But after turning it on around him to get him used to the sound I made my attempt to grind his nails. The first few times were a challenge, he can be kinda a jerk. But he is totally fine with it now. And our other dog gets her nails done too. So it was a win-win. I no longer have to go to the vet for expensive nail trims, it is an incredibly easy to use item. The dogs do need to be slowly introduced to the sound (which is low, but obviously not for them) and the feel took a little time for our puppy to be okay with. But other than that it is perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Very pleased.

I’m a professional dog trainer and I also own 4 pups of my own so needless to say I’ve used my fair share of dremels. I’ve always had issues with them wether it was super loud, made my hand shake from vibrating so crazy, bits wouldn’t last, and wasn’t wireless/ took badaries/ and wouldn’t hold a charge. The second I opened this box I took it out and turned it on and I couldn’t believe how quiet it is. I can’t tell you how many freak out episodes ive had trying to use previous dremels on pups that would freak out from the loud noise. So over the last Couple of months I’ve put it to the test and I’m absolutely in love with it. I’ve used the bit that comes with it every 3 days on my pups as well as at least 30 or so times on my clients pups and it’s still as if it’s brand new. it also holds a charge forever. And comes with a lifetime warranty which you can’t beat. I highly recommend this and I guarantee you’ll love it just as much as I do.

First- fyi yes, the company gives a $10 gift card to write a review. Next, this is a totally honest review. I have never cut or trimmed a dog's nails before because I was so scared. I used to pay $$ for previous pets because I was afraid I'd hurt them. There's no worry about that with this nail grinder. It's so easy and safe to use. My 11 year old actually took over after I tried it first and he did a great job. We wore face masks to avoid inhaling the fine nail mist and one of us held the dog and offered treats while the other used the grinder. As instructed before use on our puppy, we took it out and gave lots of treats, turned it on and gave more treats, put treats on the grinder and let him eat them off of it. That's all for the first day. We did the same thing the next day and then decided to start with the nails. When we were ready to start we did have to hold him and give constant treats at first, but eventually we slowed down with the treats and just gave them sporadically. I'm very happy with this tool. It's going to save me $$ and also be so much less stressful for all of us. Also, it's much smaller and quieter than I expected so that's a bonus! I have dachshunds with monster nails. my older grinder stopped working so I just received this today and trimmed 2 of my dogs and I am impressed with this, it worked fast and with the different angles, it was easier to get to the nails while they sat down. I gave it 4 stars because I don't know how this will hold up but it seems to be a sturdy well-built item.
